My Son, My Very Best Friend
When we were in our elementary days, all through high school and in college, we all have our friends especially the best of all friends, our BEST FRIEND! Right? I have mine, too, and there are a couple of them. It seems natural for a guy like me whose family is always transferring from one place to another because of the nature of the job my father had. So, I have my collection of best friends, 1 new best friend every year in different schools in different places in different cities but I will not tell something about them. I will share to everyone from here about my BESTEST BEST FRIEND and he's my son. He's 10 years old right now but we really became good friends ever since that time that he was born into this world last May 21, 1998. He is our second child, my daughter being the first and you can read all about my other best friend, my little girl from a lens that I've written just a few weeks ago and I hope you will also get to read it.

We Share So Many Things Together
Me and my best friend share so many things together and I was a little bit surprised that he also like what I like! We love to go Net surfing together and it's nice that I'm always at his side when he does that so I can get to watch his back and I guess I don't need any parental control for Net surfing!!! LOL!!!! We like the same video games...why, we even like the same kind of music!
Can you imagine a 5-year-old kid listening to KISS' "Psycho Circus"? And he not just only listens to it but he actually made it his favorite!!!! His favorite were the title track and "Into The Void" sung by Ace and Peter's "I Finally Found My Way"!!! That was 6 years ago and now, he's choice of music is expanding!!!
His second choice is KISS'"Destroyer" but what he likes best is Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" and "War Pigs" and he smashes the air with his arms as if he's playing the drums! His favorite musician is Peter Criss and he sings "Beth" so, oh, beautifully except that he's murmuring the words but he knows the tune by heart!
And these are the very same music that I love and yes, he knows the beat of the drums to Rush's "YYZ"!!! What a boy and he's my BEST FRIEND!
Michael will always be my little boy...
I know, in time, Michael will grow up to be a very smart young man so does his sister, Maica Mari and time will come when me and my wife will miss their presence when they will have their respective family of their own. We will miss the time we had together, going out shopping, watching movies on weekends together, making homeworks, school projects, scolding them for the wrong things that they have done and the bringing them and fetching them to and from school. But all of this longings will be diminished when they will have their own respective kids and we will be waiting by the doorstep on Saturdays for them to come around tugging along those little grandkids of ours and once again, watching home movies together but when that time comes, there won't be only 4 of us!!!
One last note:
I know that to be able to enjoy my time with my family, I need to take care of myself, too! That's why, I never ignore the importance of healthy living and with the right combination of daily exercise, balanced diet and a good supply of natural food supplements and the knowledge of how to take care of my insides like my colon and my liver, I know that I can enjoy more life with my family! I even stopped smoking and drinking 5 YEARS AGO and have been sober ever since!

It's weekend and it's Cartoons all the way for us!
Weekends are for cartoons!
Even though it's going to be a Saturday, we all still wake up early in the morning. While the mama is busy cooking breakfast,
me and Michael together with her big sister Maica are all seated in front of the boob tube getting excited and you know why? It's Cartoon Weekend time! And it's going to be a whole lot of Cartoon fun for the rest of the day! We watched all kinds of Cartoons from Mickey to Son Guko (anime or Japanese cartoons) and we just sat there for hours. Saturdays or the whole 2-day weekend including Sundays is sacred for us and I always see to it that I get to spend and enjoy my time with them. And oh, yes, the mama, after having finished cooking, will join in the fun! Of course, when it's breakfast time, the DVD player goes on "PAUSE" or "RESUME". And after breakfast, it's Toon Time again.
So, what are the cartoons that we just saw recently last weekend? Here are the list of what we have enjoyed:

This is on top of our list of favorite cartoons and here, it's Anime or Japanese Cartoons. Anyone, a cartoon lover or not, will surely love the storyline of this anime series. Why, even my wife, who's not into cartoons, was also captivated by Son Gok - Looney Tunes
One of the best cartoons ever and even if 10,000 years will pass starting today, Bugs Bunny and the rest of his gang will live on forever in every children's heart, aged 2 to 102! My best friend is good at imitating all the voices of Looney Tunes cha - Mickey Mouse
Who would ever ignore the cuteness, the wittiness, the smartness and the "adorableness" of Mickey Mouse and friends? Even the episode that really brought the attention of the audience to this adorable mouse, which is called "Steamboat Willie" is not - Spongebob Squarepants

....and much, much more! We get our kicks and our faces and bellies aching from laughter from other cartoon characters like the animated Mr. Bean, Popeye the Sailor Man, Tom and Jerry, more Disney cartoons on the Disney Channel, more Nicks at Nickelodeon and I'm also surprised that my two kids also love Voltes V, my childhood robot hero! I was only 11 years old then, when Voltes V was in his finest and these kids of mine appreciate Voltes V, too!
So, that's basically it! The point is, as loving parents, we always try our best to be the great providers for them but not only through financial stability. We need to spend more time with them and we need to have an open ear for them and this is the reason why my son is my bestest best friend and my daughter will always be my little girl!
